Stewardship Reflection
5th Sunday in Ordinary Time - February 5
Through today’s Gospel reading we see a perfect example of Stewardship. Jesus gives His time to doing all that God wishes - healing the sick and preaching. Yet Jesus also makes time to be alone in prayer. It is only through prayer, through spending time with God, that any of us can find the strength to do all that God wishes us to do. Be sure to find time this week to be with God.
Life Teen – next Life Night is next week, Feb 12. Our theme is “Chain Reaction”.

B.C. Catholic Collection
On Feb. 4 and 5, parishes in the Archdiocese of Vancouver will be taking up an important Second Collection. The Catholic Press collection is held once a year to help your parish mail The B.C. Catholic weekly newspaper to Catholic homes. This collection is a way you can help reduce the parish's expenses, since every penny donated goes directly to the parish to help offset its mailing costs. On Feb. 4 and 5, please use the special Catholic Press Collection envelope in your envelope set to make a donation. St. Nicholas Senior Friendship Group is in need of help.
Our Group has been in existence for over ten years. We have provided a venue for many interesting, enjoyable and always fun gatherings, usually involving food. As our name suggests we aim to encourage friendship and support to our senior members and newcomers to our parish. Ten years ago when all this began, we were much younger and more energetic. Our intent is to continue to serve, support and have fun as we journey. It is and has been a privilege to work with wonderful people.
The time has come to ask for help.
