Stewardship Reflection
5th Sunday in Ordinary Time -  February 5

Through today’s Gospel reading we see a perfect example of Stewardship.  Jesus gives His time to doing all that God wishes - healing the sick and preaching.  Yet Jesus also makes time to be alone in prayer.  It is only through prayer, through spending time with God, that any of us can find the strength to do all that God wishes us to do. Be sure to find time this week to be with God.

Life Teen – next Life Night is next week, Feb 12. Our theme is “Chain Reaction”.
After 7pm Mass in the portable.

One Mission.  The Archdiocesan Conference is our annual event gathering Catholics at the Vancouver Convention Centre to inspire and renew their faith, Feb. 17 & 18.  This year’s line-up has something for everyone: renowned singer-songwriter Matt Maher; the dynamic and humorous Mike Patin speaking on the role of passion in our faith; Fr. St. Nicholas Senior Friendship Group is in need of help.
Our Group has been in existence for over ten years. We have provided a venue for many interesting, enjoyable and always fun gatherings, usually involving food. As our name suggests we aim to encourage friendship and support to our senior members and newcomers to our parish. Ten years ago when all this began, we were much younger and more energetic. Our intent is to continue to serve, support and have fun as we journey. It is and has been a privilege to work with wonderful people.
The time has come to ask for help.
If you are available during the daytime, our functions are always held on Wednesdays, we would appreciate your assistance for approximately three to four hours, four to five times each year. Please call Teresa 604 888 9541
