St. Nicholas Catholic Church

The most sacred and ancient Catholic rites of worship are the
seven sacraments

The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines the seven sacraments as "efficacious signs of grace, instituted by Christ and entrusted to the church, by which divine life is dispensed to us." (CCC 1131)

Grace is invisible... the sacraments use visible signs to symbolize invisible grace given by God...

Sacraments of Initiation:

Sacraments of Community:

Sacraments of Mercy:

The Mass is the sacred rite of the Church

It incorporates many elements into the one beautiful ceremony with the high point being transubstantiation, the Real Presence of Our Lord.

Holy Eucharist "is the source and summit of Christian Life" (Lumen Gentium; 1964)

And, we fulfil the third commandment to 'Keep the Sabbath Holy'
by attending Sunday Mass.
